Spring is in full bloom over here and it has brought magnolia trees and bumble bees along. As well as a very happy Kyra. I can't get enough of it! I am fairly certain I was the first person in Vienna to break out my sandals and t-shirts. There are people that are still wearing coats...and it's 75 degrees pretty consistently! I guess I am just excited.

Vienna has had the tendency to feel very grey but with the sun coming out to play, we have enjoyed walks along the river and the city coming back to life. I don't know what it is but the entire winter I felt like everyone was asleep and now everyone is waking up and heading outside for the first time. For the first few months, I would go on my run in the morning and I would be the only person running. It was a ghost town. Now I actually have to dodge people!

Spring is one of my favorite seasons. It is a time of rebirth and regrowth. I love when the blossoms and leaves start to peek out and the city gardeners plant the tulips. In front of City Hall there are the most beautiful red and orange tulips that are just bursting! And the trees' leaves are out again and brought the birds with them. Oh it is glorious!

I came across a saying that embodies what spring is. "Let's root for each other and watch each other grow."

There can be such a feeling of competition with those around us whether that be in the office, on social media, in school, or even in the way we dress and act. But if you take a step back, you may come to realize that you're a tulip and that other person is a lilac bush. Everyone knows those two are completely different plants BUT they have the same goal. To thrive! We just need rejoice in the beauty of others and realize we all have roots and we are all growing. So let's grow together.
