Hey guys!! It's been a loong time but I needed to take a moment, especially around the holidays, for my family. But, I am here and ready to show you my beautiful city.

In my grand master plan to lure people to Vienna and visit me, I am further convincing you all with a list of all the wonderful restaurants to be found in Vienna. Of course, these are only my opinions, but my opinions are pretty dang delicious.

Mochi:

For all your fancy business lunch needs or even a hip Japanese evening out, Mochi provides it all. Oliver and I are slightly obsessed. They’re menu boasts fabulous sushi and maki creations as well as rice bowls for the less adventurous eater. If you are wanting to walk in, lunch is the best time. But a reservation at least three weeks in advance is advised for dinner time. Summer offers more seating outside but don’t let that fool you, it gets crowded. Which just further proves my point of its deliciousness.

Han:

Going further into Asian territory, Han is a Korean restaurant with the cutest owners you will ever see. I am completely obsessed. It has just recently opened after a soft opening. They serve traditional Korean dishes but with a twist. Everything on their menu is delicious and I am so excited to see how far they go! A definite must when visiting Vienna.

Han am Stadtpark

Figlmüller:

For those with the desire to finally try a real and true Viennese Schnitzel, I recommend Figlmüller. (I dare all my American friends to try saying that out loud haha). The pork schnitzel is the best according to my family. Make sure to get the side salad with potatoes. My mom talks about it almost weekly. Its pretty dang good and we are not really sure how they do it. And for dessert, Kaiserschmarnn aka my most favorite Austrian dessert. It’s basically cut up pancake, sautéed and dusted with powdered sugar, often served with plum jam. It’s heaven.

Honu:

Clearly, I loved Asian inspired restaurants. Honu is a little cafe that serves poke style bowls. They are outrageously good. There is the option to choose from their pre-made bowls or build your own. With bases from sushi rice to quinoa to noodles, they have something for everyone. I am 110% obsessed.

Vollpension:

This little, eclectic cafe with please every part of your inner grandma. The furniture makes no sense and there are strange paintings on the wall with board games scattered around. They make an excellent breakfast and serve excellent drinks. Everything about this little cafe oozes the charm of a modern Vienna coffee house. Easy to pass an entire afternoon there.

Cafe Dreschler:

I recently went here with with a few girl friends and it was ah-mazing! Located across from the Naschmarkt, you wouldn’t immediately think it was something special. But try and get a table around brunch…you’ll see how incredibly popular it is. And I seriously had the hardest time choosing between the truffle mac and cheese, french toast, and eggs benedict.

Gertsner

And last, but by no means least,

Gerstner:

Holy cake. There is no where better in Vienna to eat cake than in Gerstner. With amazing Opera views and red velvet couches, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this cafe. Every. single. piece of cake is a masterpiece. There is nothing more to say than go! Just go and enjoy the best cake in Vienna.

Obviously, there are too many delicious restaurants and cafes here to name but these are my favorite. I will definitely continue to update this list as I discover even more!
